best books of 2006...

These are the BEST books I read in 2006:

    1. My Sister's Keeper, Jodi Picoult

    2. The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho

    3. The Ragamuffin Gospel, Brennan Manning

    4. Angels & Demons / The DaVinci Code, Dan Brown

    5. The Barbarian Way, Erwin McManus

    6. Three Weeks with my Brother, Nicholas Sparks

    7. The Lost Message of Jesus, Stephen Chalke & Alan Mann

The best chapter I ever read on what it means to be "church" was in Missional Church edited by Darrell Guder. The chapter was "Missional Vocation: Called & Sent to Represent the Reign of God" by George Hunsberger.

I'm still reading...lots of books...

how can you be working your way through all these books? maybe you should divide b/w what's on the shelf, what's soon to come off the shelf, and what's on my desk at the moment.
I read your list and get overwhelmed.
Maybe I misunderstand what you mean by getting through?
